Established in 1996, Huia (pronounced "HOO-yah") Vineyards has an enviable reputation in New Zealand, particularly for their aromatic dry whites and savory Pinot Noir. Bouquet: Bright herbaceous notes, gooseberry, ripe citrus.
Palate: Passionfruit, melon, pineapple, lemon zest.
Serving Suggestions: Fresh oysters, shellfish, goat/sheep/feta cheese


2006 Marlborough Pinot Noir
Bouquet: Dark cherry, black berry and violets.
Palate:Hints of smoke, savory and spicy notes alongside rich berry and cherry flavors.
Serving Suggestions: Quail and truffles, duck, mushroom risotto, pork roast and figs, roast or grilled lamb, lamb or beef casseroles, aged cheddar cheeses and matured soft cheeses.

2002 Marlborough brut
Blend: 55 % Pinot Noir and 45 % Chardonnay
Bouquet: shows lovely bready and biscuity characters with an underlying toastyness.
Palate: Rich in peach fruit with ripe citrus flavours. There is a delicate creaminess ending with a long elegant dry finish.
Serving Suggestions: Canapés, fresh and oven baked oysters, sushi, smoked salmon and fresh seafood.

2007 Marlborough Pinot Gris
Bouquet: Intense ripe pear, red apple and mandarin orange.
Palate: Red apple, mandarin orange and spices.
Serving Suggestions: Versatile for pairing; from chicken to vegetarian dishes. Great with light blue cheese dishes, seafood risotto, Thai cuisine, and fresh fish such as trout and salmon.

Dry, delicate and stylish, minerals, toasted almond. Asian pear, stonefruit and citrus. Crisp and long; best with food.

2007 Marlborough Gewurztraminer
Bouquet: Seduces with its rose petals and Turkish delight aromas. Followed by warm spices, ripe pear and tropical fruit.
Palate: Vanilla bean, orange and spices. Very nicely layered, complex and long. This is a beautiful example of dry Gewürztraminer.
Serving Suggestions: Terrines and patés, Thai food, mild curries, smoked seafood and meats, soy-honey duck, blue and aged cheddar cheeses.
